Problems with GPS accuracy

For iOS (iPhone, iPad)

Step 1: Enable Location Information in Your Browser (Safari, Chrome)

  1. Open iOS Settings

  2. Choose Privacy > Location Services If Location Services is disabled, turn it on.

  3. Navigate to Privacy > Location Services > Safari Websites

  4. Select While Using the App under Allow Location Access

  5. Reload the page on the browser after opening the check-in page on say-hi.sapico.me.

  6. If a dialogue appears saying, “The website “say-hi.sapico.me” would like to use your current location,” click Allow or While Using the App. If the dialogue does not appear and your current location is not shown (or you cannot search the map near your current location), please try Step 2.

Step 2: Enable the use of location information on say-hi.sapico.me

  1. Open iOS Settings

  2. Choose General > Reset

  3. Choose Reset Location & Privacy

  4. Enter your passcode

  5. Choose Reset Settings

  6. Reload the page on the browser after going back to the check-in page.

  7. Choose Allow or While Using the App in the Allow Location Access dialogue.

  8. In the dialogue, “The website “say-hi.sapico.me” would like to use your current location,” click Allow.

For Android

Step 1: Enable the use of location information in your browser (Chrome, …).

  1. Open Settings on Android

  2. Choose Settings > Location and move the slider to On.

  3. Reload the page on the browser after opening a map on Sapico.

  4. If a dialogue, “The website “say-hi.sapico.me” would like to use your current location,” appears, click Allow. If the dialogue does not appear and your current location is not shown, please try Step 2.


Step 2: Enable the use of location information on say-hi.sapico.me (Chrome App).

  1. Open Chrome App

  2. Choose Settings > Advanced > Site settings

  3. Tap Location and move the slider to On.

    • If the Location is blocked, turn it on.
    • If you see https://say-hi.sapico.me under the Blocked list in Location, tap the URL and tap Allow.
  4. Open the Chrome browser and go back to the “check-in” page.

  5. If a dialogue, “The website “say-hi.sapico.me” would like to use your current location,” appears, click Allow.

‘Blocked GPS Permission’

Android

Goal: Allow the browser to use your precise location.

Steps

  1. Long press on the browser icon ( eg. Chrome )

  2. Open “App Info”

  3. Select permissions

  4. Look for “Location”

  5. Select “Allow only while using the app” and “Use precise location”
